A Spooktacular Day Down Treat Street

Community comes together for Key Club’s annual Trick-or-Treat event on Oct. 25

The annual Trick or Treat Street, hosted by Key club on Oct. 25 invites community members to AHS to celebrate Halloween.

During this time, families visit classrooms that Key Club members have decorated and participate in crafts and games.

Games and activities included were limbo, cookie decorating, a dance party, and a pumpkin patch scavenger hunt.

Key Club member, Solana Strus ‘27, helped plan a room for the trick-or-treaters.

“We’re doing stress balls and glow-in-the-dark paint,” Strus ‘27 said.

Strus is dedicated to community service, this being her third year as a Key Club member.

“I spend a lot of time volunteering, and I like doing it because it gives back to the community,” Strus said.

Parents from the community came with their children to the Key Club sponsored event to enjoy the activities. The group organized the activities and decorated the classroom before the trick-or-treaters came in. “I spend a lot of time volunteering,” Strus ‘27 said.

Hello, my name is Keira Quint and I am a freshman at Arapahoe. This is my first year on staff, and I’m so excited. I like to write, read, and I’m part of the dance team. I have a husky, who I love hanging out with after school. Everybody on staff is really supportive and kind. I can’t wait for the year to continue and hope to capture many good memories!
